The second winery we visited was called Samson Estates.  Here is the description that I stumbled upon from my new Wine Trails book (while listening to Creme Tangerine’s take on Abbey Road):
“Bring a friend and split a carafe of wine near the cozy fireplace or, weather permitting, sit outside on the comfortable deck chairs and enjoy stunning views of the Twin Sister Mountains in the distance.  To paraphrase the Beatles, Raspberry fields forever”
We knew this place would be perfect, and it was!  We tasted, picked a few bottles, spread out in the sun and snacked on this pretty impressive spread if I do say so myself.  Instead of going to winery #3, we spent the whole afternoon at Samson Estates.
