Leavenworth Sunday

After a delightful breakfast (Apple puff pancake) prepared by Paul, Jake and I jumped in the car to meet the Pitman’s and pick up Heidi, who would be staying the week at our house.

My goal of the visit included Munchen Haus, my favorite brat stand in town.

I tried the veggie brat which was OK especially when smothered in creamy garlic mustard from the mustard bar, ketchup and onions.

How do you choose a mustard from all of the delicious sounding choices shown here?  Ask the employees.  After 2 confident suggestions for creamy garlic, my decision was made.

We wandered the city for an hour or so with Gregor and the Pitman’s.  Gregor is a 17 year old student that has been staying with Dan and the Jackie for the past year and he is from a small village in Germany!  It was fun to ask him about the authenticity of Leavenworth and questions about his own Bavarian village.
