To celebrate my parents September birthdays, we packed the afternoon and evening with Mount Vernon fun. First, we wandered around the Fall Festival which closed down the the main downtown stretch to a street fair, kids activities and food vendors. The best part about Saturday was the perfect weather. I couldn’t believe the over 70 degree heat and the perfect timing for the outdoor fall fest!

Next, the whole family met up at Pacioni’s for a yummy Italian dinner. We ate 3 different types of pizza with salads and flat bread. I went to Pacioni’s for my 17th birthday and haven’t been to this downtown restaurant in probably 7 years. It has changed ownership since then and gone through a remodel and has turned into a cute little place!

Our final stop was just down the street and a new-ish coffee and wine bar. They have happy hour live music on Saturdays from 7 - 9pm. This place is also adorable and has a really fun menu with many coffee drinks that I haven’t even heard of. I had a “true” cappuccino which is apparently different than a wet or a dry cappuccino. It was the perfect way to spend the day/evening with my wonderful parents. Happy Birthdays!
