OK, loyal readers…you are in for a treat. I am about to tell you about another one of my awesome dreams. Last night, in my mind, Jake and I were competing in a race. It was a small 5K run with a 2K “fun run” option. Jake and I have participated in these before and I always walk the small race because I am not a runner, mostly due to my bad feet. So, in this race, I am competing with with all children, approx the ages of 5 to 8. I decide to speed walk my fastest and actually try to beat the kiddos. Which I do..I smoke them all. At the end of the race, I find out that the prize for winning is a new cell phone, which I happen to need very badly. (I have been operating off free cell phones my entire life and it is time for an upgrade!) The race organizers think that one of the kids should win and are encouraging me to give up my title to the 2nd place finisher. My argument, of course, is that I can’t compete in the adult division (look at these scars) and that I seriously need that phone. Honestly, what is an 8 year old going to do with a new cell phone?? In the end, I take home the prize and get ready to cheer Jake on. If he wins too, then we both get new phones! Awesome! Let’s just say that I am not so popular among the spectators but they can all suck it…and then I wake up. I guess the moral of the story is that I am wishing Jake the best of luck this weekend at his first triathlon of the summer and Big Sare seriously needs a new phone…
