My blog is a place for me to document the things "in my life". I love writing, dancing, music, the Beatles, everything about the 90's, old school rap, paper, crafts, day planners, girlfriends, the Cougs, Marcus Trufant, shopping, Euro travel, Barcelona, budgeting, healthy living, and rose wine (among other things). I want to highlight the delicate balance between being a domestic B-ham wife and a jet-setting fashionista - all at the same time!

Memorial Day = Ski to Sea
Each Memorial Day, Jake and a team of 8 others participate in 8 leg race that starts at Mount Baker and ends in Bellingham Bay. The weekend is packed with tons of people and fun activities. Not to mention the 8 million dollars the race brings in to Whatcom County.
Our house is always filled with out of town guests/racers and we don’t even have to fight traffic on Memorial Day (except to get a parking spot at the finish line)! On the docket this year is the Grand Parade, a pre-race BBQ, a visit to the beer garden at the Fairhaven Festival, the finish line at Marine Park a post race BBQ and sunny, sunny days!
