Ellis borrowed a Bumbo chair and here we are trying it out for the first time. She seems to always want to be upright. She sits in it for a few seconds and then arches her back to launch herself out of it. So, this will always be a supervised toy.
Each August, my parents attend this music festival which brings pretty big music acts for free. This year, Ellis and I also attended. Friday was the hippie music day, as described by my Dad. I put Ellis in a hippie skirt to enjoy the event.

She is no stranger to live music but I was amazed at how well she did for this event. She fell asleep on her side (could she be any cuter?) and stayed there for 2 hours until we piled her back in the car. I covered her up with a couple blankets and she snoozed on the grass while the music played into the night.

See her little foot sticking out? This was a pretty fun event that I will definetely bring Ellis back to when she is old enough to dance!

Today (Ellis’ 14th week birthday) I ended up in Skagit County. I was supposed to meet a friend who had to cancel but since Ellis and I were up and ready to go, we took the drive South anyways. I surprised my nieces but picking them up and taking them to the Childrens Museum in Burlington. This place is great! We had fun playing store, fishing, operating a crane, putting on a play and painting.

In many ways, I can’t wait for Ellis to grow up to enjoy all the the activities of the older girls. I try to remind myself all the time to enjoy the moment and not be too anxious for the future. But don’t worry, Ellis had fun at the museum too!

This picture was taken at 5:39 so I am wearing Ellis and trying to find anything to keep her entertained until Daddy gets home. Apparently, she thinks we are pretty funny!
Kris and Kevin made these adorable personalized wine charms as wedding favors. One special guest had two. So, did we see Jake or Jack at the Krevin wedding?

It is official, my BFF is now a Mrs. The Krevin wedding was set on perfection from start to finish. The weather was beautiful and warm, their ceremony was so special, the surprise rap was hilarious and the amount of happiness oozing from the bride and groom was ridiculous.
I was a horrible documenter the day of the wedding but did manage to get a few shots with the girl, the girls, and the crazy dance party.

Beckster came up with a game that involved counting steps and taking photos along the way all the way back to our cottage. Of course, I thought it was super cool. Let’s just say that we haven’t been able to spend time together in a LONG time without being pregnant or having our babies with us. Things just got a little weird…
This past weekend was the highlight of my summer - the Krevin wedding! Everything about the weekend and the wedding was just perfect - starting with the welcome BBQ pictured here. We shared a beach cottage with the Koehlers and my parents and had nothing but fun, fun, fun from start to finish.

The weather was perfect and warm as soon as we hit San Juan Island. After lunch at Friday Harbor and checking in, we got ready and walked down to the water for some drinks and dinner. I finally get some bridey time in! Isn’t she beautiful?

The kids and the boys called it a night early so Becki and I got to go out and let loose a little bit. We had so much fun being silly.

My handsome family getting ready for Kris’ wedding. You have no idea how great it was for me to have these two around to celebrate my best friend marrying the man of her dreams. Not to mention that we shared a cottage with the Koehlers, the Prescotts made an apearance and my parents were there. Add in many more friends, wine drinking, and hours of ridiculous dancing and this weekend was pretty much heaven. Seriously, so much fun and so much love.
It must be 5:00…
For whatever reason, Ellis wants nothing else but to be held and walked around starting at about 5:00pm each evening. Jake usually gets home around 5:45pm and these 45 minutes seem to drag on. Nothing satisfies the girl and I am just out of patience for a crying baby after all day with her. Luckily, I found that baby carrying is a perfect solution for this time. Here we are the other day. I wrapped up Ellis and walked to the mailbox and met Jake in the street. He thought we were pretty cute.
