Ski to Sea 2010
This year Wasted Talent returned with a few new members.  Check out Karli’s post with lots of fun pics from the race.  This year I decided to volunteer which was great.  I got to be very involved at the canoe leg, in charge of getting racers numbers on the white board.  I even had a team of high school girls to boss around. After my duties were complete, Jake and I made it to the beer...

Happy 30th, Round 2
The very next night, we got a visit from Trevor and Alison and had another 30th party to attend.  This was for a B-ham friend named Jason.  The party was held at the VFW (similar to an Eagles Club) which contrasted nicely to the cocktail attire dress code.  Having our friends back in town led to things getting a little weird, but certainly fun. I miss my friends Trevor and Alison so much,...

Happy 30th!
We are in the season for 30th b-day parties and tonight we celebrated Jen’s! We started with dinner at the Hayden’s, followed by drinks at the Copper Hog and 90’s night at the Plan B Saloon.  We were feeling “young” during this celebration as we took shots and stayed out past midnight on a Thusday.  Happy Birthday Jen!!

Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas
When you are getting destroyed at the tables (and we were on this trip), the only thing to do is hit up the Hofbraus House.  It is a perfect replica to the one in Munich.  They fly in the delicious beer, always have live German music, and best of all, it is no where near a casino.  I like to take this picture on my visits here. Kind of a wierdo, I know…

Sedona, AZ
The highlight of our vacation by far was our stop in Sedona.  We used miles to get 2 nights at the Hilton Resort and Spa.  Our hotel was so nice.  It had several pools and a spa with a lap pool and gym, plus a great restaurant.  On our first night, we had dinner outside, shared a bottle of red and enjoyed a perfect summer night. Here are some pictures from Tuesday when we saw some sights (like...

Road Trip
After 3 nights in Vegas, we hit the road in a rental car for a 3 day road trip across Arizona.  Day 1, we stopped in Kingman, Arizona to check out a distillery and have lunch and then drove Route 66 from Kingman to Flagstaff. We stopped at the Grand Canyon Caverns and took a tour of this wierd and intersting tourist attraction.  I guess I figured that this would probably be the only time we...

Mon Ami Gabi
One of the highights of Las Vegas was our late lunch at Mon Ami Gabi, located at Paris Las Vegas.  It is a classic French bistro with outdoor seating that allows for the best people watching you can imagine.  For lunch, Jake and I had mussels and salad and a fancy grilled cheese sandwich.  We also sipped on French sangria which was delicious. From our great table, we watched a great Jack...

Cave B
Jake and I have to drive to Eastern Washington A LOT.  It always makes sense to stop on the way home but by the time we get to Sunday, all I want to do is get home.  However, on this Mother’s Day, we decided to picnic and wine taste in the sun at Cave B.  Just a short drive from I-90 near George, WA.  The views here are amazing and this part of the state is always warm.  The wines are...

Today... I Start Documenting my Life.: Walla Walla... →
Spring Release Wine Weekend is a very special time of year in Walla Walla. It’s when the first releases of new vintages are available for tasting and many wineries that aren’t open to the public open up for the weekend. Lots of cheese and hors d’oeuvres are served, live music is played and… we all…

1 note
I used to LOVE my saltwater sandals and am thinking about buying a new pair, maybe in pink or yellow.  They are coming soon to a B-ham boutique.
